Operation Ipods has a goal:

 Operation Ipods goal is to provide MP3 players or Ipods to every person who is incapable of obtaining portable music. We believe music can brighten the world, change lives, restore hope, and offer solace to those in suffering. We are determined to provide the gift of portable music to those who are financially and/or physically unable to acquire such an item on their own, one player at a time.

Who will it benefit and who will qualify for a free Ipod or MP3 player?

 Men, women, children, schools, hospitals, elderly care facilities, shelters, and other organizations  who are unable to provide themselves or persons they care for with the gift of portable music can benefit from and qualify for Operation Ipods. The Operation Ipods board members will review all applications and decide which applicants will receive a device according to the greatest needs.

How do I apply for a free Ipod or MP3 player?

 Simply go to the Application Instructions page and read them thoroughly. When you are ready to apply, go to the Application page and fill out all the required information and submit your application.

How will I know if I have been chosen to receive an Ipod or MP3 player?

 If you are chosen by the board members to receive a portable music device you will be contacted via email, phone or mail,depending on your current situation. You will be informed when the item is shipped. Please be patient as our list of applications will be long and will be dependent on our funding situation at the time.

What if I do not have access to a computer to download music onto my device?

If you do not have access to a computer or have a way to download music onto your portable music device, you can choose up to 20 song selections and we will have them preloaded onto your device before we send it. Please list your song selections, including the artists and song titles, in the box provided on the application page.

Will Operation Ipods will be enlisting the help of music celebrities, artists and personalities?

Operation Ipods will be enlisting music celebrities, artists and personalities around the USA to help in the delivery of some of the Ipods or MP3 players to people or organizations that have been chosen by the board. Some people who may receive such an honor of having a celebrity or musician deliver their device would be those who qualify under special circumstances. Some examples are listed below:

People with a terminal illness.

Organizations such as schools, hospitals, elderly care facilities, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, and cancer centers.

People with special needs.

People who are going through a tragedy. Examples: Loss of loved ones, loss of home due to fire or natural disaster.

How does Operation Ipods secure the funding to purchase these devices?

Operation Ipods operates on funding from donations, grants, partnerships with companies, and income from advertising. All monies are used for the everyday operations of the program and the purchase and delivery of the portable music devices.

Is Operation Ipods a non profit organization?

No. At this time Operation Ipods is not a non profit organization. Any donations received are not eligible for a tax deduction. We may, with proper funding chose to become a non profit organization in the near future.
