Introducing Brandon Parsons... Exclusive Interview!

Recently I had the pleasure of being introduced to an artist who really caught my attention. I had no idea who this artist was when I first heard his name, but I am extrememly grateful I had the opportunity to hear his music and conduct an interview with him. Brandon Parsons is such a unique and talented artist. His deep resonate voice is in unique contrast to his young athletic appearence. Can you give us a brief background history on yourself and how you got started in music?
"My Name is Brandon David Parsons. I grew up in York, PA, I now live in Harrisburg, PA. I grew up surrounded by music, my mom was very musical and my family always sang together just being silly. I got started in music at age 12 at my church being the youth worship leader. I was sooooo bad! But I stuck with it, and after a while found my niche and style."
What genre of music do you consider yourself in?
"Singer/Songwriter/Christian"

"My debut album actually just came out, it's called, Something Real, a CD that merges bright arrangements with an eclectic mix of songs ranging from soaring piano ballads to edgy Christian rock. It can be purchased on www.Brandonparsons.com"
Do you tour? If so where and when is the next tour dates or live performances?
"I am looking at touring around PA this year..check www.Brandonparsons.com for performance dates. I performed at the American Idol Experience, multiple clubs in Nashville TN, special events, churches, multiple television programs, and many singing competitions throughout the U.S. I also competed on the nationally syndicated TV show "Gifted" airing on TBN in 2006. I will be starring in my first music video in January 2010 using one of my songs off of my CD."
What bands or singers were your musical influences/idols?
"Anything creative... I love Imogen Heap, Jeremy Camp, The Fray, Switchfoot, Thousand foot Crutch....the list goes on and on!"

What is your favorite color?
"Favorite color is Green."
Your favorite food?
"Food-I would have to say that would be anything Italian. haha"
Your favorite drink?
Favorite Drink? "That would be milk."
Of all your songs/music which is your favorite and why?
"I love the title track on my debut CD called "Something Real"...it's a very intense song with an awesome string arrangement that tells a story about desperately searching for something that you can call real."
Of all the places you have ever traveled to, which is your favorite and why?
"I love Nashville TN! There is music everywhere you turn. You can go down music row and take 5 steps and hear new music. I try to visit there at least once a year."
