I love the entertainment industry. I am glad to have been a part of it in my past and looking forward to giving my prospective insight for the future. I will probably be as controversial as most, but I tend to always compromise for the sake of fair.

Happy Belated Birthday Present to Kimberley Locke

Harrisburg, PA, summer 2004, a memory comes back to me clearer than the fact Robin Thicke has to be the worst artist of 2009. The memory that I recall is Kimberley Locke's "8th World Wonder". Every summer of mine I have a theme song, 2004 happened to feature hers. I sit here now with the song on repeat and travel in my cranial time machine to the moments left behind. Some of those summer songs make me sad, this one makes me want to drive and smile. While Kimberley Locke has had a vast career since her Billboard number one Hot 100 single sales landmark, this is the song that made her. Artists often conform and try to leave behind the song they deem to stalemate and pigeon hole their career's. I do not know Kimberley Locke's feelings on her hit single, but I sure hope she embraces it as a special vehicle in her career. I will forever love this catchy,  well written happy Jack song. I just want to pop in the Ipod and get the car up to about 110 and... drive, drive, and drive. I can see myself dodging in and out of lanes with reckless abandon. I am sure at this point you are hoping you do not live in PennsylvaniaHarrisburg, PA... My favorite PA city! . My mind returns to summer of 2004, I can still smell the summer air while crossing over the bridge from my house into the downtown metropolis of Harrisburg, PA! I can remember the smell of the tanning lotion in the backseat of my car, and the chlorine stench from pool in my hair. Yes this is supposed to be a Happy Birthday to Ms. Locke, but I thought she should know the powerful emotions and memories her song invoke in my mind- this is my gift to her. "8th World Wonder" will never be forgotten in my music repertoire. For all those who know me, you realize how much of a true gift this truly is. "8th World Wonder" debut on the Billboard Singles Sales Chart at #1, making it the first non-Idol single to top the chart from any Idol finalist to date. I think this is a huge undertaking, and I also believe the creative video catches me the most. The video for "8th World Wonder" was directed by Sam Erickson, who has also directed videos for John MayerKeith Urban and Good Charlotte. Kimberley stars in the video along with Charles Divins from the soap opera Passions. The video starts with Kimberley awakening one morning to find a note left by her boyfriend. It then shows each day backwards from current day to 7 days ago when they first made eye contact at a party. The video ends with Kimberley giving Charles her number at the party they met at. How many of you met someone you thought you wanted so much and lost them quickly? How many of you would like to rewind the clock and fix the mistakes which may of kept you part; the misunderstandings which tore the start before it began? There is not a great deal of lyrical changes in the song, and does not follow the AB BRIDGE A format. "8th World Wonder" mostly just rehearses its repetitious chorus, however, somehow the song is haunting and mesmerizingly captivating. I often wanted to get in depth with Kimberly Locke about "8th World Wonder" and dive into the nitty gritty so to speak. Maybe one day she will do this with me. So on that note, Happy belated Birthday Kimberley, I couldn't give you a gift this year, however, thank you for giving me happy memories from the past. Seven days and seven night of thunder the waters rising and I'm slipping under, I think I feel in love with the 8th World Wonder. <sing>

That's all I have to say on that, and that's...
