I love the entertainment industry. I am glad to have been a part of it in my past and looking forward to giving my prospective insight for the future. I will probably be as controversial as most, but I tend to always compromise for the sake of fair.

Introducing Chaud... Exclusive Interview!

A couple of weeks ago I got a message on Myspace from an artist named Chaud. I explored her profile and noticed she was a singer. I had never heard of her before so I decided to have a listen to her music. I was immediately intrigued! She had a fresh new style of music, the most amazing voice and she was absolutely beautiful! I decided to respond to her message and asked if she would be interested in doing an interview. You can imagine my surprise when she responded and said she would love to! As a general rule I have not had much luck when trying to contact a musician or singer via Myspace. You generally get either no response or an autoresponse from some robot. I knew then this artist not only was a great singer/musician but she had a great personality and really respected her fans. Below you will find the interview I conducted with her and all of her contact links. Have a listen to her song titled "Help Me" which will be available on her album coming out in 2010.

Tell us a little about yourself, where you grew up and where you live now.

"My name is Chaud. Pronounced like (Showed). I grew up in a small town in Los Angeles county named Claremont. As of now I travel between two residences, one in the LA area and one on the east coast. I'm recording my album on the east coast."

Can you give us a brief background history of how you got started in music/singing?

"When I started elementary school I was always participating in talent shows and school plays. Then when I entered highschool, musical theatre, acting, choir and improv became my life. After highschool I went to school for radio broadcasting and got a job working at a news station, but after a few years I realized I wanted my music to be on the radio not be the person playing the music on the radio!"

What genre of music do you consider yourself in?

"The music is definitely pop, but it has alot of rock and alternative elements, so the sound is very unique. Its definitely a sound that no one else is doing right now. If I had to pick a genre I would say pop/rock but my songs have a really dark twist. I do like to write alot about the dark side of life."

Do you have recorded music/albums?

"Right now I am working on my first ep, and that will be available in mid 2010. The songs I have up on my myspace right now are all either being re-recorded or will be taken down when my new ep is done. I'm working with a new producer in a brand new state of the art studio, so the album will definitely be top notch!"

Do you tour?If so where and when is the next tour dates or live performances?

"Not touring yet, just bunkering down in the studio recording my butt off!! I'm still waiting for that one accomplishment in my life that I can refer to as the one i'm really really proud of! I think it's just around the corner though... "

What bands or singers were your musical influences?

"I'm really influenced by aritsts like Madonna, Hendrix, Chilli Peppers, Tina Turner, Afi, Lady Gaga, Alanis Morrissette, Melissa Ethridge, Celia Cruz,Santigold and White Stripes."

I'd like to ask a couple more personal questions so your fans and our readers can get to know you a little better.

What is your favorite color?

My favorite color is Black....I like things that are sleek, sexy and simple and those things always seem to look best in black.

What is your favorite food?

"My favorite food is a completely loaded baked potato. I'm talking the works!!! Bacon, butter, sour cream, chives and whatever else I feel like throwing on there. Comfort food is the best."

What is your favorite drink?

"My favorite drink is a blended Strawberry Margarita with extra lime."

Chaud at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego dressed for the Playboy Mansion Halloween Party 2009Of all the places you have ever traveled to, which is your favorite and why?

"Of the places I've traveled to so far I really fell in love with Paris. There was a very sexy carefree vibe in the air there, not to mention the food was really amazing. I really think I could live there."

Which of your songs/music is your favorite and why?

"It's actually a song I'm Re-recording called 'Time Flys'. It's about living a wreckless lifestyle filled with all your ugliest demons and liking it. I have a philosophy called 'Living on the Black Market' and that basically means not being afraid to be who you really are (good or bad) and not being ashamed of what your past had made you. 'Time Flys' defnitely describes a "Black Market" kind of lifestyle."

Chaud, you are a very intriguing artist and I want to thank you for your time. I cannot wait to get your album when it comes out! I am including my favorite song titled 'Help Me' at the bottom of this article. This song has so much heart and soul in it. It's amazing!

We will keep you all updated on Chaud and when you can purchase her first album.Until then please check out her Social Media links and her Blog page below.
